Post-Acute Care Products

Skilled nursing facilities, skilled nursing rehab, nursing homes and long term care

The EarlySense System Overview

The EarlySense system is designed for a wide variety of clinical settings including post-acute care centers, short-term/sub-acute rehabilitation, long term care, ventilator dependent, and hospital-based geriatric units. The system continuously monitors heart rate, respiratory rate and motion to help enable early detection of patient deterioration and prevent falls and pressure ulcers.

EarlySense offers two primary product choices to accommodate the widely varying needs of post-acute providers across the care continuum.

Communication Devices

A mobile device that sends alerts if a patient displays activity that may indicate a potential fall risk, a need to be turned, or vital signs outside the normal threshold.

ES2 Unit

The EarlySense 2 bedside unit has a touch-screen display showing the patient’s clinical parameters, alerts, and trends with optional continuous SpO2 monitoring capability.

Contact-Free Sensor

The contact-free sensor captures a patient’s vital signs and movement, and is discreetly placed underneath the patient’s mattress.
