The EarlySense System with ES2
- Patients requiring SpO2 monitoring
The EarlySense system has been used to promote patient safety in non-monitored care areas throughout the hospital including: medical, surgical, orthopedic, oncology, and geriatric units. The system continuously monitors heart rate, respiratory rate and motion to help identify early detection of patient deterioration, prevent falls and prevent pressure ulcers.
EarlySense is offered in two form factors to best accommodate the patient safety needs of a wide variety of care providers across numerous clinical settings.
A mobile device that sends alerts if a patient displays activity that may indicate a potential fall risk, a need to be turned, or vital signs outside the normal threshold.
The EarlySense 2 bedside unit has a touch-screen display showing the patient’s clinical parameters, alerts, and trends with optional continuous SpO2 monitoring capability.
The contact-free sensor captures a patient’s vital signs and movement, and is discreetly placed underneath the patient’s mattress.
The memory foam-cushioned chair sensor captures a patient’s vital signs and movement while seated in a chair.
The central display station (CDS) located in the nurses’ station displays the continuous measurements and trends of up to 40 patients, including visual and audio identification of potential critical events.
InSight captures heart rate, respiratory rate and motion data in a more discrete form factor. All of the clinical data is sent and monitored at the Central Display Station or Remote Viewing Devices.

At EarlySense, we understand that every facility has varying needs and patient acuity levels. That's why we offer the ability to mix and match products and offerings.
The EarlySense system with ES2 is used for higher acuity and higher risk residents. With its sleek design and flexible interface, an ES2 bedside unit provides care teams with immediate access to information at the bedside. The easy to use touch screen display shows the patient’s clinical parameters, alerts, and trends in the room. In addition, the ES2 has the ability to add continuous SpO2 monitoring to create a full picture of a patient’s health and monitor a patient while in a chair.
Continuously monitors Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate and Motion for:
The All-in-One system combines both the ‘patient safety’ and ‘vitals’ solutions into one.
Continuously monitors Motion for:
Fall Prevention — Designed to allow the fastest way to the patient
Pressure Ulcer Prevention — Designed to assist clinicians in identifying patients at high risk for developing pressure ulcers
Continuously monitors heart rate and respiratory rate for:
Designed to provide more opportunities for early intervention

The EarlySense system with InSight is ideal for a wide variety of clinical settings such as waiting areas, transitional care, psychiatric, rehab, skilled nursing facilities and hospital environments. The InSight bedside unit is more discrete than an ES2, with no screen in the patient’s room, offering a more homelike feel for patients. InSight provides care teams with access to a patient’s clinical parameters, alerts, and trends at the Central Display Station (CDS) and remote viewing displays. In addition, InSight has the ability to monitoring a patient while in a chair.
In the event of a change in a patient’s status, the system alerts nurses at the Central Display Station (CDS), on remote viewing displays and on handheld devices.
