The EarlySense System Overview

The EarlySense System is a fully integrated patient monitoring solution and supervision platform that provides continuous and real-time vital sign and motion information for all beds in a hospital unit. The Patient Care Manager (PCM) at the nurses’ station helps on duty nurses to closely supervise the status of the entire patient population on the floor at all times.

The availability of real-time vital signs and motion information along with the corresponding timely alerts help the caregivers provide closer supervision and thus deliver proactive care, potentially leading to better clinical outcomes including:

• Reducing the number of hospital acquired pressure ulcers
• Preventing patient falls
• Timely intervention by Rapid Response Teams to reduce escalations to a higher level of care and shortening lengths of stay.
